Monolith units fabricated with input from project developments

a) 3-cell Monolithic stacks produced at DTU, including NOAH2 project developments. b) Polarization curve measured at 700 Celsius degrees in SOEC operation, including extrapolation of performance at higher current densities.

Monoliths fabricated can reach project target of 1.20 A/cm2 below 700°C.

Testing equipment limitations did not allow to record the full extension of the polarization curve which can however be extrapolated. In that context 1.20 A/cm2 can be reached in proximity of 1.40 V per cell, common operative point for the technology.

Improvements in innovative electrodes development, have been successfully integrated in comparable platforms and can further improve monoliths performance, as well as lower the operative temperature below 700°C.

Monoliths have been successfully fabricated with innovative metal alloys developed within the project.

Oxidation mitigation strategies leveraging impregnation have been developed within the project to guarantee simple integration into monolith platforms.
