Monolith architecture development flow, from conceptualization to design definition with multiphysics modelling
A multiphysics model representing the NOAH2 monolithic SOEC stack was established. The developed numerical models accurately capture the electrochemical behavior and transport phenomena within monolith-type SOEC stacks, and allowed for the optimization of the internal design and final architecture featuring:

- Straight gas channels minimizing pressure drops

- Rib/channel ratio of close to 1/1 was found to deliver the most uniform distributions of steam and current.
